Changing the icon of the network (LAN) folders
Note: This feature is present ONLY in the Professional version of Folder Marker.
Folder Marker is able to change icons through the network. The change of a network folder icon is performed
in the same way as for a local folder. You can use Folder Marker's main window or a folder's context menu
for this purpose.
You can change shared folder icons ONLY if you have write access to the directory.
If you change a network folder using the 'Mark Folder' context menu, Folder Marker copies the folder icon
inside to the folder. This makes the icon change visible to all computers in your network.
If you change a network folder using Folder Marker's main window, you will see that Folder Marker will
set the Make Customized Folder Distributable option for all network folders. That is, Folder Marker
will try to work in the same manner in which it changes icon from the 'Mark Folder' context menu. You
can un-check the Make Customized Folder Distributable checkbox, as desired. In this case, Folder Marker
will not copy a folder icon to the network folder. Additional space will be saved, but on the computers
where Folder Marker is not installed, the folder icon will look like default one.
